2022 Barbasol Championship Odds and Picks

The PGA Tour has action in Europe and in the US this week. The biggest tournament is in the UK at the Scottish Open. However, there are also more betting opportunities on American soil at the Barbasol Championship. TheSportsGeek has the latest Barbasol Championship odds and picks.

TheSportsGeek recommends only the best golf betting sites for your Barbasol Championship betting experience.

The Barbasol Championship is going to take a backseat to the Scottish Open, but the oddsmakers aren’t often as sharp in the smaller tournaments. This provides good value on the Barbasol Championship odds.

This past weekend, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf had tournaments running simultaneously. J. T. Poston was in control going into Sunday and held on for his second Tour title. Poston finished -21 to par, while Emiliano Grillo and Christiaan Bezuidenhout had strong tournaments at -18 for T2.

THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

There is only one major tournament left on the schedule this year. It’s quickly approaching at St. Andrews in Scotland from July 14 to July 17. The Scottish Open provides players with an introduction to Scotland this week.

TheSportsGeek will have Scottish Open picks, but we’re going to look at the Barbasol Championships odds first. There aren’t any marquee players entered into the $3,700,000 tournament. However, this doesn’t mean we can’t cash with winning Barbasol Championship picks.

Where is the Barbasol Championship played?

If you’re looking to attend the Barbasol Championship, a trip to Kentucky will be required. The Barbasol Championship is played at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

This is an attractive-looking course situated only around 20 minutes away from Lexington.

Keene Trace Golf Club is a 36-hole course, with the PGA Tour playing the Champion Trace 72 par 18-hole circuit. It has a distance of just over 7,100 yards.

The tournament’s first three years, from 2015 to 2017, were played in Alabama. Beginning in 2018, the Barbasol Championship moved to Keene Trace, where it’s been played since.

Barbasol Championship Betting Odds

You won’t find any elite players on the Barbasol Championship odds board, but there is going to be a winner. The Barbasol Championship betting odds have some good value at Bovada, so that’s all you can ask for as a handicapper.

43-year-old Kevin Streelman is the favorite at the Barbasol Championship. He isn’t a complete unknown. If you follow the PGA Tour, Streelman is a name you’ll see on the leaderboard.

Streelman is coming off a showing at the Travelers Championship, which helps give him leading odds at Keene Trace.

Barbasol Championship Picks

Patton Kizzire (+3300)

Patton Kizzire is a regular on the PGA Tour. He has two wins on the PGA Tour, with a win at the OHL Classic in 2017 and a year later at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Along with two Tour wins, Kizzire won the SEC Championship in college as a member of the Auburn Tigers in 2007.

He isn’t a stranger to having success in his golf career. It will likely take a smaller tournament for Kizzire to capture another PGA title. He has the tools to win at this level against a beatable field.

Kizzire held up very well in his most recent outing against some decent players at the John Deere Classic. He was -12 to par and finished T16 at TPC Deere Run. His effort at the RBC Heritage was also commendable, finishing T26 against a tough field.

He didn’t make the cut at the U.S. Open, but did at the Byron Nelson and PGA Championship.

Kizzire is one of the most highly ranked players in the Barbasol Championship. He is 147 on the OWGR. The oddsmakers are not as high on Kizzire as I am in Kentucky, but I appreciate the value at +3300 to win.

Barbasol Championship Odds

Adam Svensson (+2500)

Corey Conners, Adam Hadwin, and Adam Svensson are a few Canadians doing pretty well on the PGA Tour. You can usually find one of them in the mix on a Saturday.

Conners is likely going to win a notable tournament before too long, while Svensson can easily win a lower-tier tournament like this at the Barbasol Championship.

Svensson has three Korn Ferry Tour wins, but is still searching for a PGA Tour victory. A drop down in class to the Barbasol Championship instead of chasing the Scottish Open gives him a good chance this weekend.

Svensson is coming off a solid showing at the John Deere Classic. He shot -11 to par to finish T24. There wasn’t anything wrong with that performance, which would put him in the hunt against these rivals in Kentucky.

The Canadian was in good form at the Travelers Championship, too.

Two tournaments ago, Svensson was consistent, shooting -8 to par for T25. The Canadian Open in a tournament earlier was yet another top-25 performance for Svensson.

CONSISTENT AND HUNGRY

He’s playing some of the better golf of his career at the moment and has to be hungry for a PGA Tour win. It’d be tough if he were up against a regular Tour field, but this competition makes him one of the best in Kentucky.

Svensson looks like a smart player to have on your card this week. His Barbasol Championship odds at +2500 make him an attractive option.
